Midsummer is a fantastic house set in picturesque Coverdale, in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, in a small village called Carlton near to the town of Leyburn, which is only 6 miles away, and only 12 miles southwest of Richmond.

It is set in the centre of a small village, which is in walking distance to the local pub, The Foresters Arms, where they serve local cask ales and a quality homemade food.

There are lots of activities to do in the area; cycling, horse riding, shopping, festivals, museums, and if you are keen on walking and outdoor activities you have the whole of the National Park to explore.

There is a unique attraction called Forbidden Corner near Leyburn. It has a network of chambers, tunnels and labyrinths, which should be popular with all the family. If you need an adrenaline hit, go to Lightwater Valley the home of Europe’s longest roller coaster and a great selection of other rides suitable for all ages, it’s close by. If heights are your thing, you could visit Aerial Extreme near Bedale, with its ropes course and zip wires, these are just some ideas to keep the kids busy!
