Edinburgh is the capital city of Scotland, situated in Lothian on the southern shore of the Firth of Forth.
Edinburgh has many historic buildings, including Edinburgh Castle, Holyrood Palace, the churches of St. Giles, Greyfriars, along with the Cannongate, and a Georgian New Town, which was built in the 18th century. Both the old and new towns are listed as UNESCO World heritage sites.
If you are feeling energetic you can take a walk through Holyrood Park or climb Arthur’s Seat, a dormant volcano, which sits 251m above sea level giving excellent views of the city; it is also the site of a large and well-preserved fort, dating from around 2000 years ago.
Or enjoy a picnic in the Meadows park, which is directly in front of the apartment. There is a children’s play area, tennis courts, café, croquet, picnic tables, and designated BBQ area too.
Edinburgh is world famous for the International Festival, Fringe, Film and Book Festival’s, and has a very diverse selection of shops, café’s and restaurant’s, and lots of activities that all the family can participate in.
The new luxury apartment is at Simpson Loan, which sits at the south of the Quartermile development, at Lauriston Place, beside the University of Edinburgh and the Meadows park, and only minutes from Edinburgh Castle and the Royal Mile.
