The Atlas Debonnair Lodge is a luxurious open plan Lodge situated in the Oyster Bay Coastal and Country Retreat Park. Set in the beautiful village of Goonhavern, you can enjoy a relaxing stay in an idyllic country setting, only minutes from the nearby beach. Oyster Bay Country Retreat offers many on site facilities which include an indoor pool, sauna and steam room, tennis, mini golf, children’s play area, water sports, including paddle boarding and surfing.
Goonhavern is a small Cornish village just 2.5 miles from Perranporth, the setting for Winston Graham’s Poldark novels. It has lots to offer including an inn, village shop, garden centre and children’s playground. The community, once known for its tin, still has abandoned pump houses, mine shafts, and workers’ cottages.
Nearby is the village Perranporth, known for its beautiful beach with miles of golden sands and craggy rocks, perfect for long beach walks. The spectacular coastline is also a haven for local activities including water sports, sailing, fishing, and golf.
The village boasts a host of local shops including ice-cream parlours, restaurants, pubs, a brewery and The Watering Hole, the UK’s only ‘Bar on the Beach’ pub with live entertainment, good food and stunning coastal views. It is also worth visiting Blue Hills Museum and Perranzabuloe Folk Museum to learn about the area’s heritage.
Newquay is just over six miles away from the Lodge. The coastline that surrounds Newquay is known for its dramatic cliffs, rolling seas, fabulous beaches and an aquarium located right in the heart of the town overlooking Towan Beach. The nearby zoo is perfect for animal lovers, with over 130 species so there is lots to see!
Property Description
The Lodge has an open plan lounge, dining area and kitchen which is fitted with everything you need to enjoy your holiday. The kitchen is equipped with crockery, cutlery, a cooker, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, and washing machine. The living area provides a great practical space for families with plenty of room for entertaining with double-opening patio doors to create the perfect indoor/outdoor space on a summer’s day.
The Lodge sleeps a maximum of 4 people. The master bedroom has a walk-in wardrobe and an en-suite shower room. The second bedroom has twin beds and there is a separate family bathroom with a shower over the bath.
