The Willerby Clearwater is a luxurious open-plan holiday Lodge situated in the Ribble Valley Country and Leisure Park at Paythorne, Gisburn. With beautiful gardens, water features, and landscaping, close to the Forest of Bowland, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This holiday park is the perfect retreat for walkers and nature lovers.
The village of Gisburn is just over a 5-minute drive away from the lodge. A walk along the cobblestones of the wide main street will take you to the historic parish church with its original Norman stained glass. One of the busiest times in Gisburn is the market day which is held every second Saturday. You could also visit Gisburn Forest, the largest forest in Lancashire and home to the country’s premier mountain biking trails.
The market town of Skipton is just over 30 minutes away from the Lodge. Known as the gateway to the Yorkshire dales, the market town has a famous 900-year-old castle, priory, and historic cobbled streets. The traditional town market is held four days a week on the High Street in front of Craven Court. Skipton’s only shopping centre boasting 28 stores from national to small independent shops, as well as The Terrace Team Room which provides the perfect place to relax after a day shopping and sightseeing.
Clitheroe is a historic market town, 20 minutes away from the lodge which has held a regular market since the Norman conquest in the 12th century. It is well known for its plethora of specialist shops. The award-winning Byrnes Wine Shop is famous for its enormous underground cellar bursting with unusual vintages from all over the world. Cowman’s Famous Sausage shop sells more than 75 sausage varieties while the Exchange Coffee Company stocks more than 35 coffees and 60 specialist teas.
Lodge Description
The Lodge has an open plan lounge, dining area, and large kitchen which is equipped with crockery, cutlery, a cooker, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, and washer/dryer. The living area provides a great practical space for families with plenty of room for entertaining with double-opening patio doors to create the perfect indoor/outdoor space on a summer’s day. Also, lobby seating ensures you have plenty of space to change out of walking boots or wellies after holiday adventures.
The lodge sleeps a maximum of 4 people. The master bedroom has a walk-in wardrobe and an en-suite shower room. The second bedroom has twin beds and a walk-in wardrobe. There’s a separate family bathroom with a shower over the bath.
